Spring Fashion Trends

It is officially the first day of Spring and this season’s fashion trends are in full bloom! This year stylists are bringing back some bold fashion trends from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s that you don’t want to miss!

Neon – 80’s

One of the staple trends of the 80’s, neon, is back. Not only has it been seen on the runway, but many celebrities have been seen wearing neon. This trend is just too bright to miss!

Tie Dye – 70’s

Tie-dye is bringing the 70’s back. It can be found anywhere from t-shirts to blazers and that is just the beginning!

Animal Print – 60’s

Catwalk has been given a whole new meaning after this season’s animal print trends began, specifically leopard print. This trend began back in the 60’s but is making a big comeback and you can expect to see a lot more of it this Spring.

Trends come and go, but this year some of the most popular trends from past decades are making a come back. What trend are you most excited to see return?

Spring Fashion Trends

It is time to go through your wardrobe and put away heavy layers because the weather is starting to get better. Spring is the perfect time to play around with pastels! This has always been a trend but it is great to lift the spirits after a drab winter with some pops of color.

  • Jumpsuits are making a comeback! They are a cute option when you want to look a little dressier but also be comfortable. With so many different patterns and styles the options are endless.

  • I don’t know about you but I have recently become obsessed with this vibrant color. It adds a fun pop to any outfit!

Sheer Layers

  • Some other fun trends have been the addition of sheer layers. It adds a dramatic effect on the overall outfit. You can take a simple casual dress and add a sheer top and completely transform it into something new and a little edgy.

Overall Shorts

  • Another personal favorite of mine is overalls. This is the perfect thing for a casual day out to maybe run errands or grab some coffee with a friend.

I hope this gives you some ideas for the next time you’re shopping and want to try one of these trends!

Fall Fashion Guide

Fall in love with Fall fashion! There are some trends you should try to change up this season. Picking the right layers is essential to staying warm for Fall in Wisconsin. There is no end to the possibilities of outfits with jackets. Different jackets help you dress up or down an outfit. If you want to go for a casual look try a jean jacket with a simple t-shirt, leggings and comfortable shoes. This is the perfect outfit for grabbing coffee with friends or going to class. Leather and bomber jackets can dress up any outfit. With different colors and patterns you can turn an ordinary outfit into a statement by making it the centerpiece.

Now if you’re crafty and looking for a new DIY try making your own distressed or ripped jeans. You can even add some embroidered patches to it, there are some great ones on Amazon. It is all about making it your own and expressing yourself. Here is a link that The Everygirl posted for  step by step instructions on how to make your own pair:

My favorite thing about fall is the boots! There are ankle boots and knee high ones. They are a key part to any outfit. The best part is that they are functional and cute. If you need an extra layer of warmth add some long socks to peek out over your boots. There is a great selection of boots at Zappos.

It’s the little details that count, instead of wearing your scarf the same way everyday mix it up! Instyle shows a how to tutorial on different ways to tie a scarf. I never thought there were that many ways to tie a scarf.
